Wondering if a floor buffer/polisher can be used to sand down deck floors. If so, is 1750 RPM adequate, too slow, or too fast? Heard the drum sanders can really dig into the wood if you're not careful. Seems like the orbital buffer would be less agressive, but I'm concerned about "swirl" marks.

Can anyone help/advise???? unsure.gif

Thanks!!

Actually it's a "rotory" type machine, not orbital, which spins approx. 175 RPM at 1 HP.
