Hello, My name is Mark. I started PW about 3 years ago in tandom with my window cleaning buisness. I wash primarily awnings, storefronts and sidewalks in New Jersey and Manhattan. I have limited my PW to locations that had thier own water sources. I work out of a E 150 cargo van (if I anticipated this move I would have went 250 or 350 but oh well) I have read quite a bit on this forum and others but still have unanswered questions. I have decided to go with a water tank in my van.

1.
I realize that the van can't take more than a 300 gallon tank full but is it better to go bigger and not fill it all the way as I can probably get a 400 to 500 gallon tank in there or max out the 300?

2.
I have friends in the buisness that use a tank and say they can get enough flow from gravity out of the truck. I have a Dewalt 3500 psi 2.8 gpm cat pump home depot washer. I know I am gonna take some grief for this but never felt the need for a "commercial grade" machine. It seems to do the job quite effectively for me. I may upgrade in the near future as I am picking up more work. Will this machine draw from the tank or will I need a pump connected to the tank? If so does anyone have any pump recommendations?

3
Will there be a noticeble drop in pressure going from a spicket to a tank as a water source?

I am sure in the future I will upgrade my machine as I am interested in trying a surface cleaner. Is this that essential?? I am pretty efficient with my gun and do not have to rinse after using it? I realize I am still new to the industry and would love to learn more.

Thank you for all responces.
