Quick intro:

I have a Dry Ice Blasting business located in Ontario, Canada - just past my first year of business (an interesting one at that - I survived and still going). Just adding a pressure washer to the business to assist in Graffiti removal that I'll be doing. I apologize for the silly questions, I understand it's a pain in the rear when I guy comes in (almost everyday on these forums) and asks a million of the same questions and you never hear from the guy again after a couple of posts. I'll stick around... wink.gif

thx.

Mike

Hi Mike......

We're looking at the dry ice blasting......it's very cool.

To address your pressure washing - I hate to tell you guy, but you didn't get a pressure washer, you got a toy smile.gif You'll get more rinsing power out of a garden hose and that's what counts. As you indicated in your other post, let the chems do the work. With the set up you have, I'd be tempted to put the chems on then use the ice blaster (disclaimer: do not try this without first speaking to the producer of the ice and the manufacturer of the chemical to be removed by dry ice - it would be just my luck to think I'm having a genius moment that gets somebody blown up!)

You definitely want to stick around - good folks on here (I am too mostly but I have to have my coffee!)

Welcome,

Celeste

Thanks for the welcome Celeste.

Yeah, my little power washer isn't much of 'power' washer...I am shopping for a decent mobile (cart) belt drive unit that won't break the bank, it's been a long winter and cash flow is a at min...lol. So far I've found an BE unit, a Hotsy unit that look pretty decent...we'll see.

Yes, I'm going to experiment with Dry Ice whilst attempting the graffiti removal at each site - however, it's not cost effective to be honest when there's a 'cheaper' alternative such as power washing (water). Dry Ice supply is costly, therefore a premium charge is required and no one will really pay me for graffiti removal when then they can pay a power washing co. half the price. I have some marketing ideas where I'll promote DIB in certain situations but generally speaking I'll use a pressure washer.

I think the dry ice we'll be fine, hopefully no explosions... tongue.gif
